1. Who is responsible?
RecordSmash is responsible for the processing described in this Privacy Policy. For privacy questions, email privacy@recordsmash.app.
2. What data do we process?
Website. The RecordSmash website does not set its own cookies, use advertising networks or include analytics. When the website loads, hosting and security providers may process technically necessary information such as your IP address, request time, requested page and browser information.
App. The current version does not use RecordSmash accounts. Answers and scores are processed on your device during a game and are not stored by RecordSmash in a user profile.
Contact. If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include.
3. Why do we process data?
- To deliver and secure the website and app.
- To answer support requests and investigate errors.
- To prevent abuse and technical disruption.
Where personal data is necessary to provide the service, we rely on performance of a contract. For security and improvement, we rely on our legitimate interests. Where consent is required, we ask for it first.
4. Apple Music and Google Cloud
RecordSmash uses Apple Music through MusicKit. The app asks for permission through Apple before accessing music functionality. Apple processes that access and playback under its own Apple Music privacy policy. RecordSmash does not receive your Apple ID password or payment details.
RecordSmash may use Firebase and Google Cloud for backend functionality and hosting. These providers may process technical information to handle requests, secure the service and record errors. See Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal data or share it for personalised advertising.
5. How long do we keep data?
In the current version, RecordSmash does not centrally retain game answers or scores. Technical logs are kept no longer than necessary for security and troubleshooting, subject to the configured retention periods of our service providers. We keep support emails for as long as needed to resolve your request and answer related follow-up questions.
6. Your rights
Depending on your circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You may also object to processing or withdraw consent.
Send your request to privacy@recordsmash.app. We may request additional information to verify that the request is genuinely yours. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority or the competent supervisory authority in your country.
7. Children
RecordSmash is not specifically directed at young children and does not knowingly collect children's personal data. Contact us if you believe a child has shared personal data with us.
8. Changes
We update this policy when the app, website or services we use change. The date above shows when this text was last revised.
